Pascal - the real-life Pinot Whisperer!

Pascal Marchand’s passion for wine developed only after a series of detours. In his younger years, the Canadian-born Marchand served in the merchant marine. 
His enthusiasm for Burgundy wines was ignited when he moved to the region. Marchand was part of a young generation of winemakers who were aware of the threats to the vines and consistently embraced organic and biodynamic practices. Many of these pioneers later became renowned winemakers. Marchand was one of the first among them.

In 2010, Pascal embarked on the Moray Tawse adventure and founded the Marchand-Tawse joint venture. Through this partnership, the two longtime friends and business partners aim to produce wines that best express some of Burgundy’s most famous terroirs. Their work is based on the principles of biodynamic viticulture—both in the vineyards and in the cellar.
