SommBox was born out of a simple frustration: great wine is everywhere, but great guidance is rare.

We are a team of sommeliers, wine educators, and certified geeks who believe that the best bottle you will ever open is one you actually understand. Not just "this is good" - but why it is good. What the soil tasted like. Why that particular vintage mattered. Who the winemaker was, and why they chose to do things differently.

What We Do

We curate themed tasting boxes - each one built around a specific producer, terroir, varietal, or region. Every box includes six Coravin-preserved 100ml pours, tasting notes written by our in-house sommeliers, and enough context to make you dangerous at a dinner party.

Our boxes are for people who are serious about wine without taking themselves too seriously. Whether you are a curious beginner or a seasoned collector, each box is designed to teach you something new.

The Coravin Difference

Every wine in every box is extracted using a Coravin system - meaning the bottle is never opened, never oxidised, and the wine is preserved exactly as the winemaker intended. You get the real thing. No compromises.

This lets us offer wines that would normally cost hundreds of euros per bottle - iconic producers like Pahlmeyer, Remirez de Ganuza, and Mas de Daumas Gassac - in a format that is accessible, educational, and genuinely thrilling.

Our Philosophy

We do not believe in mystery. We believe in knowledge. Every producer we work with is chosen because they make wine with intention - and we translate that intention into something you can taste, understand, and remember.

We also believe in honesty. If a wine is challenging, we will tell you. If a vintage was difficult, we will explain why that made the wine more interesting, not less.

We ship across Europe and are constantly expanding. Our sourcing takes us from the fog-soaked slopes of Barolo to the sun-baked garrigue of Bandol, from the limestone hillsides of Gevrey-Chambertin to the volcanic soils of Priorat.
